Plant With Us
This is not a solo task. In a city marked by entrepreneurial individualism, we want to offer a different kind of kingdom. We want this church to be anchored in the family of God. We want the body of Christ, not simply individual pioneers, to be the Spirit-empowered missionaries of Vancouver.
We are hoping to gather a Core Team of like-minded servant leaders who will help shape the long-term DNA of this church before and after launching services. We are also hoping to gather a Launch Team of individuals who are interested in participating in what God is birthing in Vancouver through this new church.
-
The Core Team is a small group of like-minded servant leaders who take primary responsibility for the long-term vitality of the church plant.
Together, the Core Team will establish personal and communal rhythms of sacrificial prayer and relentless hospitality. We will clarify our ministry strategy, initial emphases, and the framework for teaching about Table-based mission. As launch approaches, the Core Team will take initial ownership of key ministries (e.g. kids, worship, prayer, mission, tech, Table Groups, etc.).
-
Represent Jesus Christ well through a life of character and faith (cf. Gal 5:22-23; Col 3:5-17)
Reside in or near the city of Vancouver and possess a heart for the city
Desire to grow in prayer, hospitality, faith, and mission
Meet weekly with the Core Team to share a meal, pray, and prepare for what God has in store for this new church
Pray for, give to, and serve for the sake of the mission of this new church
Participate in semi-occasional events of prayer and worship prior to launch
Lead or join a Table Group as they are launched
Commit to walk with this new church through pre-launch (~12 months) and one year post-launch
-
The Launch Team is a larger group of individuals who have a heart for Vancouver and desire to help call those who are far from God to become those who are sent by God.
The Launch Team is perfect for those who cannot commit to the Core Team expectations, but who still think they want to be part of this new church in some capacity. This group will make up the bulk of our church upon launch, and we are praying for a team of people who deeply love Jesus, love Vancouver, and who are willing to serve however they are able.

Vancouver was recently ranked as the fourth most expensive city in the world.[1] Church planting leaders from multiple denominations have noted that Vancouver’s cost of living is preventing leaders from considering planting in the city. In other words, the most significant city in Western Canada is often being priced out of the gospel.
We believe God has more in store for Vancouver than becoming a haven of overpriced secularism. We need a team of financial partners who want to see 100 years of renewal in and through Vancouver.
In light of recent church planting examples, we estimate it will take approximately five years post-launch before we reach financial independence. We have built a plan that we believe sets us up for both long-term renewal and financial viability.

Pray for Us
As much as there are physical, social, and financial obstacles to gospel renewal in Vancouver, there are also spiritual ones (cf. Eph 6:10-20). We need a team of intercessors who will cover us in prayer.
Join our prayer team below by indicating your interest in our prayer newsletter. Every month we will send a brief email with an update on our ministry and some invitations to pray.
Promote the Mission
God’s plans for Vancouver are larger than our personal network. If you know someone that you think would like to be involved, whether through prayer, financial partnership, or joining the team, we’d love to connect with them.
